  1. I'm 6'2" and my stumpy has a 19" frame. try different bikes at your LBS, as different bikes have different geometry. read, not all 19" frames are the same size. I would not recomend a bike that you'll "grow in to." instead, get one that fits, but that you won't necessarily out grow too quickly. if your current growth spurt stops, you won't be stuck on a bike that isn't comfortable. btw, my panasonic touring bike, that I bought at age 13, still fits me, and has been relegated as my beater/commuter/town bike. (for those familiar with my crusade for helmets, it's the bike I endo'd..).

  2. Sizing has alot to do with standover height. Most manufacturers make a wide variety of sizes for frames. You can get an XS frame 13.5 in, S 15.5, Med 17.5, L 19.5 and XL 20.5. Those measurements are not exact. They vary from manufacturer to manufacturer but that can serve as a guide. They are measured from bottom bracket to top tube center to center. Your best bet is to go and test ride a few bikes and get a feel for what size fits you best.
