  1. Ingredients to avoid are sodium, chlorine, and boron because these can accumulate in soil. You can always pour the water through some garden mulch/compost to preabsorb any salts.

    If you just use rinse water there should be less problem. If you think there is a need you can periodically leach the plant  with rain water or other clean source every 4-6 months. Pour water through the pot using twice the volume of water as the empty pot would hold. A six inch pot holds 10 cups so pour 20 cups through. Then refertilize with organic fertilizer. This will leach out solubles that accumulated in the soil.

  2. any detergent will be alright, but avoid those which include bleach and don't add bleach either. Bleach will hurt the plants.
