  1. i vote for no birth control.  all of them have side affects.  you can lose your period completely, and the longer you are on the pill, the more likely you are to never get your period back at all, which means you may never be able to have kids.  there are several other side affects as well.  instead research the form of "birth control" called family planning.  it's an entirely natural way to prevent unplanned pregnancies, and unlike every other birth control, it has a 100% accuracy rate.

  2. There is no best birth control pills for everybody. Each person has it;s own hormonal status and lifestyle. One is good for somebody but the same cannot terrible for another person. The most important is pros and minuses which you can discover below

That is the website I went to and it was essentail in my choice to get a copper IUD, it is very helpful. I switched from hormones to the copper IUD because it is hormone free and the side effects I had from hormones were what you described besides the weight gain and plus a lack of s*x drive and daily headaches. Anyway, look into it because it is a better alternative than hormones. Good luck!!:)

  4. I would try the nuva ring. I had no problem with the nuva ring as far as weight gain and such. I had no side effects at all except for a mild yeast infection which I got only once when I first started using the ring. It went away with some home treatment and anitfungal yeast infection cream. The only downside to the ring is that you have to make sure it is really deep inside you or else you can feel it, but once its in you I had no trouble with it!

  5. I have the -copper T- IUD. Aside from the heavier periods I have had no issues with it, and I've had it for 5 years now.

you need to be careful about price though. not all insurances cover birth control. My IUD was $900, but my blue cross insurance covered all but $6
