What blank DVD do i use to record a movie to the burner on my computer so i can play the movie back~??

on a regular DVD player~?

would that be a DVD +RW~???

  1. It's NOT the media. It's the FORMAT. A "video DVD" has a specific structure of MPEG2 files package in certain ways. Computer videos are usually NOT MPEG2 (usually AVI with DIVX/XVID codec) and not packaged at all, so you need something to trancode and author a video DVD. Something that does it free and painfree is DVDFlick at DVDFlick.net


  2. I prefer DVD+R.  I would not use DVD+RW's, they don't seem to be compatible with alot of players. You may already know this but you need the right software in order to decrypt movies and burn them to discs.
