-I bleached my hair from black and it's blonde now but there is a little orange it looks like I did it on purpose like highlights and I am wondering what brand of hair dye (preferably light blonde) would cover it I tried Revlon colorsilk and it didn't do much so then I tried Lo'real Feria and it lightened it a little but now my roots are coming back and I want to get something that will cover the little bit of orange and my roots any suggestions? Or will I have to go back to bleach(which I'd seriously prefer not to and I am not going to go to a hairdresser)?.

  1. ash blonde and it is really cute!

  2. If you have redish undertones or throw backs, no colour will really keep these tones away. I have battled long and hard to remain blonde, although have now given up due to my hair always going yellow despite using the best products available.

If its only slight, you could have a toner put in once a fortnight at your hair dresser, it isn't to expensive. Or try going for a slightly darker blone. Also try investing in 'purple' / toners shampoo and conditioner. KMS is a good brand I have found.

  3. The best thing to remove the orange is using a toner to remove the brassiness. Blonde hair dye will not be able to lighten your hair all the way to blonde so basically without bleach you will have a line where you can see the old and new color. I would really not suggest going from black to blonde without a hair dresser, I tried it a couple times and once your roots grow out you're kind of screwed because to bleach the roots again you'd have to be able to see it all and do it yourself which is practically impossible.

  4. you need to use a toner.  a toner gets all of the gold brassy orangey colours out of blonde hair.  you may be able to buy a toner from a drug store im not sure, but i have bleach blonde hair and i go to a hair dresser and its a nice ashey colour because she uses a toner on my hair.  you may need to go to a hair dresser just to get them to apply a toner, it won't be exepensive at all!
