  1. Monopoly

    Finance & Fortune

    The Jury

  2. Board games in 1930 were plentiful, but simple. Card games back then were played with standard playing cards, and not much else. The rules for these games were generally straightforward, were substantially luck-based, whole games (or individual game rounds, at least) were fairly short, and there was a definite goal to the game. The first player to achieve this goal was declared the winner. Compare that to now, where the majority of new games coming out break most or all of these rules. 3. Scrabble first came on the scene in the early 1930's, though it was not trademarked as Scrabble until about 1938.  Chess, checkers, chinese checkers, backgammon, and mancala were all around in the 1930's.

  4. well i know that monopoly was a big game in the 1930s... i mean, there was also scrabble too... but monopoly was probably the biggest well known game back then! :)
