  1. OOOH!!  Get a pink one!!

  2. If I were you i'd just go ask a local shaper. tell him your weight, height, experience what kind of break you surf and what would you like the board to do because a board that may work for someone else might not work as well with you

  3. I am in the US, and I don't know what 10 stone means, but if you are 5'2", and have mastered your soft top, there is no reason to limit yourself to a fun shape (that's a mini mal to you). You can probably move onto a hybrid or performance board, depending on your ability. But, I don't know you, and I don't know what the waves are like where you surf.

I suggest you go to a good local surf shop ( a real surf shop, not bathing suit store that sells some surfboards) and talk to the folks there. If they are real surfers, they will try to steer you to the right board, not just make a quick sale.

  4. Hey, dont listen to people saying decide yourself, you do need some guidance, otherwise you'll end up with a shape that doesnt work for you and you won't get anywhere! usually stepping down from a softboard you want to get a minimal, these will offer quite a lot of stability and are much more manoeverable than a softboard, and so would be good if you want to start angling and doing basic turns, a 7'4 minimal really worked well for me, i'd say with your measurements you'd want to get a 7'4 /7'6 maybe(try them out!)  however i was only on it for a few weeks (borrowing off a mate) and then i moved to a 6'9 shortboard, which i think is a really good way to go as it's more of a begginer shortboard and so gets you into the feel of shortboarding and turning. A good way to decide would be to either ask your local shaper, or try out different boards( hire/borrow, whatever) try bigger and smaller minimals, and also have a go on a bigger shortboard, if the shortboard doesn't work for you , don't get it! even if you think you'll  improve on it. it's so much easier on a minimal to start developing your more subtle turns. Alot of people will buy a shortboard for image, and they will get nowhere on it, as they haven't moved down the stages and different sized boards. I hope this helped, and remember if you're buying first time, then get a second hand board, most of the time they're in just as good condition as a new stick and alot cheaper: you can usually find them for a couple of hundred quid.

  5. ii wanna check u out

  6. !?! i think u should make ur own decison bcauz thats the best way u find urself

  7. yeah a mini-mal would be good. or you could probably go for a funshape board; 7'6" or so. if you get a board that's too long, you'll be able to catch waves, but turning becomes more difficult. too short and you can turn easier but waves are more difficult to catch.

  8. 7' 6"

    Surf Betty

Allows you to turn and move MUCH faster

    £279

Took me a while to stand up but when you've got it, you've REALLY got it. Have fun.
