  1. I'm sorry, call me old fashioned, but,  doesn't the Captain always go down with the ship?

    The stern?  Webster's New  World Dictionary says the stern is the rear end of a ship or the rear end of anything!

    I feel like a rear end because I do not understand your question!  Perhaps a few more details.
