  1. the Mississippi clocks in at 221 bridges

  2. The Mississippi River at 2300 miles long HAS to have the most bridges.

  3. one possibility:

    Harlem River, New York City

    Ward's Island Bridge

    Triborough Bridge

    Willis Avenue Bridge

    3rd Avenue Bridge

    Park Avenue Bridge

    Madison Avenue Bridge

    145th Street Bridge

    Macombs Dam Bridge

    High Bridge

    Alexander Hamilton Bridge

    Washington Bridge

    University Heights Bridge

    Broadway Bridge

    Henry Hudson Bridge

    Spuyten Duyvil Bridge

    I'd also check London...

    edit: from Wikipedia:

list of crossings of the River Thames, downstream first, including bridges, tunnels and ferries. In all, there are 214 bridges, 17 tunnels, six public ferries but not one ford.

    So the Thames wins.

  4. It looks like the champion is the Thames.

I  have counted only 200  for the Seine in France, 37 in Paris.

  5. Maybe the River Thames that runs through London?  214 bridges and 17 tunnels!
