  1. call your local highway department and make a complaint, and let them know your concern and they should come and fix it for you.

  2. D.O.T. (they are the ones who paint em)

what the h**l is a "local council" ?

  3. start with the local council

  4. Department of Transportation for State roads, or for local, call the city commissioners office.

  5. A city, state or country would be helpful.

It depends on what city the area is located.  I assume it is not a city proper.  I it is a town like mine, then you would contact the county.  I live in Ramona, which is not a proper city, it is classified as an unincorporated area, but it is in San Diego County.  If you want police, you call the SD county Sheriff.  You want anything at all, you have to contact the county for it.  If you lived in an incorporated town, then the city should handle it.  Do you have a town hall?  City hall?  Call them up.  They can help you out.

I did this once because there was a hazardous intersection in town.  The lights never worked right and it had the highest accident rate in town.  The county refused to change anything unless 4 people were killed.  4 people!!!!  WTF?  So I went around and got petitions signed by all the people who had gotten in accidents, witnesses, etc. Together, we got it changed.

Your case sounds a lot more simple.

  6. department of transportation in your county.

  7. Call your city hall and see if they can point you in the right direction.  If not I would suggest the road commission possibly the main boss of the road commission, or talk to someone from the road commission so they can get an inspector out there to decide if the job is bad enough to get done.

  8. Definitely start with the local council.  They'll either deal with it, pass it on or tell you who is responsible in that area.

Disregard the Americans who think the A406 Barking is in the US!

  9. Try the Highways Agency or the local council, here in Northamptonshire on the council website there is a form you can fill in with complaints about road problems

  10. Write to or phone the local council and report the problem to them.

  11. contact Barking and Dagenham council, if they dont do the lines, they should contact the Highways Agency

i know the white lines you mean, i use that Junction every week

  12. the council should do it or the high ways agency. They wont do anything on one complaint try to get a petition together.

  13. try contacting yout governor  they should lead you in the right direction.

  14. call  the state highway dept, but they won't paint them til summer anyway, IF it's on their list to paint this time
