  1. I'm currently reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire

    its all about how the wicked witch of the west became the wicked witch in the wizard of oz. its a great read and its also been turned into the broardway/west end musical of the same title.

    The book was great; I can't wait to see the movie.

  6. I read tell me why mummy by david thomas.  Its about a kid who was abused but grew up strong to be an intenational speaker and motivator. Awesome but not an easy read.

  7. I have just finished The Girls, about twins conjoined at the head. It was a fictional diary which was sad and funny and has a lot of points that make you think. Just started The Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell, I like variety!

  8. I am reading Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire. It's the sequel to Wicked. Before that I re-read Animal Farm by George Orwell.

  10. 1984 by George Orwell - absolutely fantastic, I can't believe how long it took me to read it, but totally worth it.

    I've also nearly finished 'Maya' by Jostein Garrder - again, incredible. Really makes you think...

    It's all about the controversial death of a British expert on WMD who embarrassed the British government regarding their decision to go to war in Iraq.

    It's a good book, and I'd recommend it.

Just finishing "13 Moons" by Charles Frazier [he wrote "Cold Mountain"] its an astonishingly good read, but only if you are a patient reader who enjoys detailed stories, a wealth of history and information contained within a story of the wild mountains and the removal of the Indians from their land.
