What book genre do you most prefer?

what type of novel do you like best, or which would you buy/pick up

horror, comedy, thriller, suspense, chic lit, mystery, adventure.. what?? what do you like best? or is it a mix?

Science-fiction/fantasy. But it really depends on the book in general.

Transgressional Fiction.  It's usually incredibly interesting, as it seems to include everything taboo.  I suppose it's closest to ...horror?  But honestly, if the book is great, it can pull in a bit of everything.

Chuck Palahniuk is probably the best example of this.  His novels are shocking and blunt and beautifully grotesque--like "Fight Club" or "Choke."

Period drama is all that I read basically. I used to read a lot of fantasy/science fiction when I was younger but now Its all classic literature. If It was written after 1900, I generally won't bother with it.

Horror/fantasy or historical are the ones I have most of in my collection.

Well I like romance with a supernatural twist, usually. I'll take regular human romance. And I'll take straight supernatural, too. I like the occasional horror, too. And I never turn down a laugh. Mystery is okay if it's written interestingly.

Oh, heck, I'll read almost anything.
