  1. I'd say To Kill a Mockingbird.

Whatever you do - do NOT pick Jane Eyre.  It's the most boring thing I've EVER read.

  2. call me sick but I love Antigone. I also like Robinson Crusoe, so much adventure!

  3. Pride and Prejudice

I honestly haven't read any of the books on your list, but I did watch Pride and Prejudice (film with Keira Knightley), and I loved it.  I think the title tells you the basics of it, so I don't think I really have to explain what it's about.

  4. i just read a farewell to arms 4 school it good....if your a depressed person...so i dont reccoment that one.

if you want a great love story, but not so much an easy read i would go with pride and prejedice

  5. The Stranger, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Color Purple, Slaughterhouse Five, Catcher in the Rye.

  6. Wuthering Heights

    The Great Gatsby

    The Glass Menagerie

    A Farewell To Arms

    Catch 22

  7. Catcher IN The Rye...You will fall in love with it and read it over and over for years. One of the best ever written. Holden is da man!

  8. Wow dude, thats alot of books.  hem hem, whats your favourite genre? You cant excpet to like all those books, because they are all totally different.  Here are a few from different genres.

Pride & Prejudice is amazing if you're looking for a classic romance novel.

The 3 Musketeers is really cool, since its in old time France.

The Iliad is brilliant if you want to read a book written thousands of years ago, about love that started the greates war in history.

I dont know what A Midsummer Nightmare is, but since you listed it under Macbeth and Hamlet, I assume you mean A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespear.  It was pretty good.

Wuthering Heights is also old, like the same timeline as P&P.

  9. Okay... that's one h**l of a book list!  Looks like you've chosen a lot of classics and amazing literary works.  These are the ones I have read off of that list:

    Beowulf

    Pride and prejudice

    The stranger

    Lord of the Flies

    A farewell to Arms

    Moby d**k

    Animal Farm

All quiet on the western front

    The catcher in the Rye

    The adventure of Hucklebarry Finn

    Slaughterhouse Five

I most strongly recommend Pride and Prejudice if you want a romance story.  Or a Farewell to Arms, I have just recently started that and so far I am enjoying it.

If you know anything about history, communism, WWII and the cold war, you'll enjoy animal farm.  Slaughter house five was also very good.  It was really weird though.

I'm sure any one that you end up choosing will be great.

  10. Pride and Prejudice or Jane Eyre if you're in the mood for old English tales; A Tale of Two Cities if you want some historical fiction that's quite provoking at the end, The Scarlet Letter if you want some early America stuff charged with moral dilemma, Cyrano de Bergerac if you like plays... comedy, action and romance all in one; The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn if you want to laugh at a little boy.

  11. To Kill a Mockingbird

It's really kind of a tragic tale, but really really heartfelt. It goes into racism and the unfairness of the times when blacks were treated so harshly, but with a homey kind of backdrop. VERY good book.

    The Picture of Dorian Gray

I haven't actually read this book, but i really would like too. It's supposedly about a man from a while ago (maybe the 1800's?) who had a picture painted of him in the prime of his beauty. I'm not entirely sure how, but the picture ends up decaying for him, so that he remains youthful and beautiful, while hs portrait shows what he would look like were he to age. If you've seen 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen', he was a character in it. He's the one Mina (the vampire) had known for so long and that she ended up in a battle to the death with.

    Happy Reading!

  12. Books are boring

  13. I just scanned the list and i would say either

Wuthering Heights: i have read it many times and think it is an excellent book, if you like sort of complicated love stories. Well, its a really complicated love story. Its a classic, and its an amazing book. i dont know how to really described the whole thing.

    orrrr:

The Catcher in the Rye: It is a really funny book and is just all around really goood. I really enjoyed reading it and just finished it for the 3rd time a couple of weeks ago!(: Its kind of hard to describe but its about a man who flunks out of many schools and then when he flunks out of Pencey Prep, he decides to just not go back to school. And in waiting until christmas to see his parents and family Holden faces many challenges and adventures. And it is from his point of view. and its pretty funny(:
