What book should I read for my school project?

It has to be at least 250 pages, fiction, written AFTER 1950 and it has to be from a different cultural perspective. Any Ideas?

I think the things they carried by Tim O'brien (awesome book, you never wanna put it down, you just wanna keep on reading it) or the great gatsby (i dunno when that one was written)

Write something like the formation of the European Union like the paris treaty, the rome treaty or the maastricht treaty... Sinse you cant write about WW 1&2.

i would read a road from home. Its a good book about the Armenian genocide. Its a very sad book.
