i need to read two books- help! i need it to be easy and fast read, but help!

Late start, huh??  Stuck in Neutral is a quick one, but VERY TRAGIC.  Such a sad book, I even cried at the end!  It not terribly long, either.

i read them both and they wont take long to read and they are both really good...HOPE THAT HELPS!!!

My personal favorite on your list is Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" which, as was stated before, is a murder mystery.

"Hitchhiker's Guide..." is fairly easy to read but it is Sci-fi/fantasy type.

Ray Bradbury's stuff is usually easy to read and is generally weirdly interesting but I haven't read that particular one.

I would read Something Wicked This Way Comes and And Then There Were None. I have read both of them and loved them. Neither are fantasy. And Then There Were None is a murder mystery and Something Wicked is more of a mystery horror type, but not too scary.

Black Beauty is very easy to read.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is also easy to read, and while it's sci-fi (I don't know if that falls under the category of 'fantasy' for you) it's also satire, and it's by far the funniest book I have ever read.

From this list, my favorite is And The There Were None by Agatha Christie.  Read it, it's amazing.  Hitchicker's Guide is also one of my very favorites, but if you don't like fantasy/sci-fi you may not like it.  Black Beauty is amazing and a classic, and you should read that too.

I have 2 questions: why does it have to be a fast read, and why are you considering fantasy, or other genres you  dislike? -- in fact, most of them are NOT fantasy. The first one is a cat-and-mouse who-dun-it mystery; the second is about a girl and her horse "Black Beauty". In fact, for most girls, "Black Beauty" will make you cry. It's a very poignant, sweet story.

Here's a little advice: write down your list of choices, go find them in a library, read the front and back cover flaps, then choose a section in it to read at random. OR take that same printed out list, and look for them  at Amazon or Barnes and Noble online, and read the descriptions. Not everything on your list is "Fantasy."

These should be a pretty quick read for you.  Most of these are really good books and are not fantasy.  You really should have just done this over hte summer and been don with it.
