  1. I hope to finish Gravity's Rainbow, but that's a bit optimistic.

  2. twilight series

  3. Michael Crichton's new novel (due to be released Dec. 2)

The Bard of Beedle by J.K. Rowling

East of Eden is one of my favorite books. I hope you enjoy it!

  4. There are tons that I would like to read, but in reality I will probably only read a small portion of them:

On The Prowl - short stories Patricia Briggs, Karen Chance, etc

    Cry Wolf - Patricia Briggs

    Raven's Shadow - Patricia Briggs

No Humans Involved - Kelley Armstrong

    Personal Demon - Kelley Armstrong

Living with the Dead - Kelley Armstrong

The Harlequin - Laurell K Hamilton

Blood Noir - Laurell K Hamilton

    A l**k of Frost - Laurell K Hamilton

Swallowing Darkness - Laurell K Hamilton

Kitty Goes to Washington - Carrie Vaughn

Kitty Takes a Holiday - Carrie Vaughn

Kitty and the Silver Bullet - Carrie Vaughn

Lost Souls - Poppy Z Brite

    The Lake - Richard Laymon

The Devil's Labyrinth - John Saul

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many!  These are just the ones that are already sitting on my bookshelf waiting for me.  But looking at the list, I'll be surprised if I get halfway through it!  Maybe by the end of next year I'll finish them.

  5. Your reading list looks good. I am sure you can get them done by the end of the year, because they are all extremely good, absorbing books which will suck you in--you won't even notice the length once you get going.

The only book I absolutely want to get read by the end of 2008 is Mein Kampf, by Adolph Hitler. I have been reading about WWII for years now, and I finally decided that despite the fact that I really hate the man and what he did, I need to sort of "go to the source" to try and understand him.

Wish me luck. I have a feeling, from scanning the book, that it's one where I am going to be gagging and wishing for an airsick bag at times. Lots of times, from the look of it.

  6. Please don't waste your time with The Fountainhead, its silly immature unrealistic neo con economics, forget it, read something informative and factual.  You'd get more out of memorizing phone books.

  7. angels and demons is a good book

Forever in Blue - Ann Brashares

The Tea House on Mulberry Street - Sharon Owens

Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen

Songs of the Humpback Whale - Jodi Picoult

Change of Heart - Jodi Picoult

    Nineteen Minutes - Jodi Picoult

The Tenth Circle - Jodi Picoult

My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult

    Skipping Christmas - John Grisham

**Also any Christmas novels that catch my interest around December!

There's others I want to get to, but I think I will be doing good if I get all of these read!

  9. Anything new by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, John Grisham, Jodie Picoult, Harlan Coben, and Thomas Harris (if he were to write something new) I would also like to read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Anna Karenina is depressing btw.
