  2. Number the Stars by Lois Lowry

The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi

Tillerman Series by Cynthia Voigt  - starts with "Homecoming"; my favorite is "A Solitary Blue"

Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell

    I still love these books!

  3. Well i would recommend reading the twilight series.

  4. Secret Life of Bees

    Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

    Fried Green Tomato's

    Lovely Bones

    Life of Pi

Anything by Alice Hoffman or Fannie Flag

  5. I was in 8th grade last year, and I strongly recommend the Unfortunate events series (if you haven't already read them), and DEFINITELY I recommend Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.  Once you've read that, you can start on all the Jane Austen books ; Emma, Northanger Abbey, Sense and Sensibility...

    Have Fun Reading!

  6. You're going to get a million people telling you to read twilight.  Ignore them.

Try: Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, A Wrinkle in Time (and the accompanying books), The Phantom Tollbooth, A Tale of Time City, Thirteen Reasons Why, Deadline, The Schwa Was Here, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Jekyll and Hyde, Saffy's Angel (and accompanying books), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Elsewhere, Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac, Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes, Things Not Seen, Project 17, The Little Prince, The Mixed-Up Files of Ms. Basil E. Frankweiler, Tamar, London Calling, So Yesterday, The Looking Glass Wars, To Kill A Mockingbird, anything by Jane Austen, The Da Vinci Code, The Chonicles of Narnia and The Wind in the Willows.

And please, don't bother with The Clique books.  They aren't realistic AT ALL (I used to live where the girls in the book do), and they're repetitive and kill brain cells :)

  7. I Am the Cheese

    The Giver

  8. doesnt really matter what grade your in. im 12 and read young aduly books. try stick figure, or katie.com . the uglies series, rhymes with witches, wake, tuesdays with morrie, clique series, the callahan cousins, do you know the monkey man.also try scott westerfeld books.

  9. i dont know about girl but im going into eighth grade and im reading the outsiders by S.E. Hinton. That book is really good

  10. I'm about your age. For free reading you'd want something easy and quick, right?

I would grab a Sarah Dessen or Meg Cabot novel. They're light, easy-to-read romaces, mostly. I really enjoy them. You might like Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging and its sequals by Louise Rennison. A lot of girls our age really like the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer... but that's a matter of opinion.

Maybe one of the Scott Westerfeld series (Uglies or Midnighters.) I really liked both of those. Or maybe something Lois Lowry. (They may seem young, but I think anybody would enjoy The Giver, Gathering Blue and The Messenger.) Or Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. That's a great, timeless book.

The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis are really good, and easy to read. Maybe the Eragon books by Christopher Paolini. Or Harry Potter, perhaps.

A Jane Austen novel, maybe? I suggest Pride and Prejudice.

Good luck, and hope I helped...
