What books should every liberal south african read before university?

I'm reading Country of my skull, and will probably read Alan Paton's book... Are there any others i should read? I'm 16 and want to expand my knowlege about Sa's history and learn about important (and interesting) things. I don't want to seem uneducated or stupid when i get into uni.
