  1. spiffy ones

  2. diadora's astroturf cleats work great on hard surfaces - they have small gummy studs.

if you're on wing you might not need the high ankles...

You will probably need another pair in a season or two because they do wear out, but give you the edge you are looking for.

  3. Nike or Adidas

  4. CCC(Cantebury) make good rugby boots, you need to go for a multi cleat design or blade style boot. This gives enhanced traction on hard surfaces. Some examples are in the links.

Ok I saw that you meant soft ground so you want long studded boots. The links takes you to sites that will give you details of differing boots on differing surfaces

  5. My best tip would be to get a pair that fit or you could end up with blisters or even worse looking like coco the clown when you go on the pitch lol

  6. I'm a forward, but my advice is pretty standard for any rugby player. Be sure to try the boots on before you buy them. Don't order them online... If you get a pair of boots that don't fit quite right, your destined for a season of foot and ankle pain.

Mizuno makes great boots. Stay away from Gilbert... their products aren't very long lasting.
