I don't like the media blackouts of certain stories/events- like the whole Winter Soldier testimony would have been nice to see on mainstream media, also it is disturbing that a book called "The Prosecution of George W Bush" is on the NYTimes bestseller list, yet I have never heard about it anywhere on the news.

  1. My God, I don't have to answer! The first 4 answers were "spot-on" "top-notch answers." I mean that. Condescending, sensationalism, entertainment that is generally biased.

  2. The sensationalistic coverage of local news that we are subjected to. The patronizing tone that they use to deliver such news. Like we're retarded or something.

  3. Main stream media is not information, it's entertainment! Only a hand full of Corporate elites own all media in North America. The dont just get rich from Media, they also get rich from having major investments in Oil companies and Weapons manufacturers. Connect the Dots there!

  4. The fact that it claims to be 100% factual when it's really just another form of entertainment, where ratings are way, way, WAY more important than the facts.

  5. Nothing - I pay very little attention to the media. When I do, I glean the factual information and filter out the dramatic, sensationalist nonsense.

  6. manipulating the public to achieve their objectives.

  7. They over dramatize stories.  I have witnessed two stories that have made national news.  One was a flood that really wasn't a flood.  The second was a protest with two protesters, but they made it look like the couple hundred ppl waiting for a train were protesters.
