  1. floyd maywheather on the big show

  2. Im not going to touch on fights that happened over 70 years ago, because I can guarantee you that they didn't hit as hard as most modern heavyweights.

The hardest shot in recent memory i can think of was Wladimir Klitchko's strait  right hand landed on the chin of Calvin Brock.

If you can find a place to view it, check it out. I thought his head was gonna pop right off.

You want to see a crazy Knockout check out Arturo Gatti vs Joey Gamache, the kid was in a coma and never returned to boxing after the knockout.

This is when Gatti was showing up 15 pounds heavier on fight night, this fight is why they are pushing to have weigh ins the day of the fight and not the day before.

If you want to see the quickest knockout in boxing check out James Thunder vs Crawford Grimsley (not sure if i spelt Grimsley right) 15 seconds including the 10 count if i remember correctly.

If you want to know about like recorded pounds of pressure of a punch, google it cause i have no idea, I remember Tyson doing it back in the early 90's. I cant remember what it registered but I remember It not being as hard as people thought it would be.

  3. Good Question--the Answer is Joe Louis when he fought Paulino Uzcudin who had never been knocked down until Joe did with a punch that was so devastating that it knocked Uzcudin's teeth through his mouthpiece & knocked out 3 out his teeth 2 of which had gone through the leather & into the padding of Louis' glove & the 3rd tooth had gone through the leather + through the padding + through the wrappings & had actually cut  Joe's fist.

  4. rocky balboa in rocky 4.

  5. Rocky Marciano is credited with landing the greatest punch ever on Jersey Joe Walcott. It spun his head around like The Excorcist! His head distorted to the point he didn't even look human. There was a perfect still photo taken of it.

  6. The most graphic shot was when Marciano KO'd Walcott.  I would not disagree with Robinson's KO of Fullmer.  That was a shot from no where.

  7. It is rumored that in 1911 Jack Johnson hit Stanley Ketchel with a right hook and Ketchels teeth were embedded in Johnsons glove.

  8. Rocky Marciano's perfect right the ''Suzie Q'' landing flush against the face of Jersey Joe Walcott is far and away the hardest in my opinion. The photo of the punch is one of the most famous pics in sports history.

Honerable mention: Bob Foster nearly taking Mike Quarry's head off with a hook, it was THE most devasting kayo win for Foster and still gives me chills when I see it.

Robinson kayoing Fullmer, Fullmer never knew what hit him.

  9. al green vs jadion  it was call 18 sec knockout check it out on you tube. funny veryfunny.

  10. Lot of people think it is a left hook Ray Robinson hit Gene Fullmer with in a middleweight championship fight  in late 50's or early 60's, Fullmer does a great bit on it on one of those 60 second ESPN shorts.

edit, Forgot about Foster hitting Quarry, saw that on closed circuit in Chicago, what a shot, Jerry fought Ali on that same card right after his brother took that shot and says he did not even feel like fighting after what happened to his brother.

  11. Robinson-Fullmer and Mayweather-Hatton KO's were probably the most perfect punches ever thrown.

But for hardest, I'll go with the shot Shavers landed in the 7th against Larry Holmes.  I'd otherwise pick Jack Johnson's KO of Ketchel, but the video evidence isn't clear enough.
