I am good at math thru calculus, and I like to work with my hands. I do not want to be a word processor!

  1. AI and robotics are growing fields. Distributed computing is also becoming big. But you won't really pursue a branch until your third or fourth year in a CS program, maybe not even until grad school. So don't worry too much, just start the major and see what fits best.

  2. I have a BAC (bachelor of applied computing) and I found this degree covered the most diverse range of subjects

It has Project Management modules ... Web Development Modules ... Programming Modules in several different languages (VB..C++..PERL..Ajax, PHP, RUBY as well as HTML and XML)... Database madule .... once you have a handle on which area suits you best ...you can then persue the course thats right for you

  3. you should go for progamming....

  4. You might re-consider anything in tech-support... Just read an article that for the past few years, the trend has been that industry is LOOSING approximately 50,000 computer tech related jobs per year!
