It all really depends on what kind of mascara you are looking for.  The high cost brand name ones are proven to work just as well as drugstore brands like Cover Girl and Maybelline.  If you want long lashes that are thicker and more noticable go for Cover Girl and it is in a thick orange tube and that is what I use.  Other good brands include Revlon, Maybelline and Rimmel.  Take a look at what you want out of your mascara and look for the brand that offers you the best one.  I think that the best two at a reasonable price are Cover Girl and Maybelline.  I used Maybelline Great Lash for about 5 yrs then changed to the one I mention above for a change.  Hope this helps!

well i use miss sporty to spread out my eyelashes and then use rimmel mascara over it to give volume and my eyelashes go so long and big they touch my eyebrows-no joke

Christian Dior: DiorShow Mascara

You can buy it at Dillard's & a few other department stores in the mall.  It costs about 20 something dollars, but it is well worth it!

I like Dior Diorshow. And MAC X for more everyday. And Too Faced Lash Injection. And Great Lash in Brown Black for a natural look

mmm i'm partial to covergirl and l'oreal...the drugstore brands basically lol.  i love my new l'oreal telescopic mascara though!  it REALLY lengthens my lashes...
