My daughter is 6 wks and weighs almost 12Ibs....

I have her using generic brand diapers (size 1 ) and they are fine as

long as she is laying flat...but if I put her in her swing ,prop her on her

boppy or have her at any angle whatsoever ..her diaper will leak!!

It will leak all up the front and or back of her ( just a nasty mess)!!

Her p**p is like split pee soup...runny and a nightmare to clean especially out of fabrics!

What brand diaper do you suggest and will her poo always be this consistency as long as she is breastfed?

  1. Another Alyssa's Mommy! We Rock! lol

I've always used pampers on my daughter, never had any trouble. You can try using them because leaking should be the least of your worries! If you still have trouble with those, go up in a size :)

  2. well i cant tell you anythign about, the poo subject becuase i didint brest fead, but for hte diaper subject

i would recommend huggies, that is what i use for my 8 week old soon, and he never leeks tru, i tried other diapers, and they leaked

and i prefer the way they fit the babies body, well its all up to you,

    hope it helps, good luck

  3. I find that pampers are the best brand.. their great even when ur baby begins crawlin' 'n walkin', they move wit her body, while they other diapers tend to hug her body 'n often cause rashes around the tighs 'n irritation. Pampers also soak up well. I've been usin' 'em since my son was born. U can get the 100 pack for 19.99 at Wal-Mart or Target. They last u quite awhile. Also, poo will be runny until the baby starts eatin' more solid foods.

  4. LUVS! cheaper than pampers (which are also good) Huggies are the worst.

Yes, stools will be runny - they don't smell as bad as formula fed babies', though!

  5. Swaddlers by pamper is the only thing that didn't anyways leak for us.

  6. Breastfed babies will have runny stools until they begin solid food.  Be thankful - it gets worse!

As for diapers, I always found Pampers to be the best.  However, I prefer the huggies wipes - they seem to clean better for me.

However, when baby is propped as in a swing, the p**p is likely to travel up the back, just because there is nowhere else for it to go!

    Congratulations and happy wiping!

  7. I have tried every diaper out there and I like parents choice at Wall-mart.  They are cheap and really do work.

  8. Pampers Swaddlers are my favorite, I just got the 12-16lbs for my little one. They hold in everything so far for me, and it was the kind my hospital gave me. I bought mine at target for 18.99 for 72 diapers I think. I am going to go out and buy some more. And yes breastfed babies bowel movements will be like that, but pampers swaddlers are very good at keeping all that in, especially if she sleeps on her side like my little one does. Good luck!

  9. Yes..... breast feed babies may continue to have lose stools...... although you will find that they may change with what you eat.

I use luvs........ they are cheap and work well.  Am not sure if they make them in size 1's though.  I started using them when my son was in size 2's.  Before that I used pampers swaddlers...... and they worked great.

  10. swaddlers by Pampers (i swear by it) so good

they only leak if they have a MASSIVE explosion - but they never leak if they are in the swing or anything

  11. You have to find what works best for her!!  With my first 2 kids, I SWORE by Huggies supreme...So with my 3rd I just assumed I'd use the same....However, I ended up with Pampers swaddlers.  I LOVE THEM!!!  He's now 22 months and we use the cruisers!!  I would recommend you just try out a few others...you'll know when you find one that works!!  And make sure they're not too big on her...

And about the nursing poopies...I didn't notice my son having that runny of diapers...unless I ate something greasy or spicy....

Good luck, congratulations on your new baby!!!
