surely canon and nikon, but if i had to choose one, i'll have to say that canon is the " best " ( in my opinion ). Canon makes cheap, affordable cameras, that can be relied upon, and you know you're going to get good pictures.

Personally, i've had two canon compact/semi-compact cameras, and i had no complaints, except with canon's service representatives and so forth.

You should get a canon point and shoot compact camera from http://amazon.com, for sure.
