What brand makes better <span title="guitars(quality,performance)">guitars(quality,performan...</span> epiphone or mexican fender strats?

i like to play classic rock wich do you perfer and why. i also heard mexican made fenders are just as good as american made fenders..is this true?

Both a fender or an epiphone are good for just general rock... Mexican made fenders and epiphones that are both around 400-500 are pretty much of the same quality. They are just different from each other.

I prefer a strat, because i like the singing sparkling tones rather than the harsh dominance of a humbucking sg or les paul.

Get a Mexican Fat Strat with the Humbucker. Sa-weeeeet.

The Epiphones are junk, now made in china. Believe me, I was at Guitar Center and I tried out at least 10 different Epiphones, and they were all consistently crappy. The Fenders were designed to be mass produced, so the Mexican and even the Squiers are pretty close to the original USA-made ones.

fender mexicans are actually made in baja mexico, which is right next to california, however, they use american materials.  epiphone makes some great guitars, but I have a few mexican fenders and let me say that theyre just great, they sound amazing and perform well.  i&#039;m actually endorsed by fender, though, so i might be biased.  i do have a few epiphones though (a casino and an old bass), and quite frankly I think fenders make better quality
