What brand & model car radio/cd player is good besides Bose?

Question

What brand and model name should I buy if I want a good car radio/cd player that has great mid levels & treble and edits well between the different input channels?I have a sub and 10 for speakers and an amp, but the clarity in my car radio does not sound as good as my $200 sound system in my house.I also drive an MR 2 Spyder where the engine is right behind my head, but still I want the best sound. Can anyone help me pick a good, clear, radio/cd system?

Pioneer has come a long way in features and quality.  For the money they are hard to pass up.  The newer models are even better in sound quality as many base features are optional on other brands.  

The DEH-P5000UB is a great choice in features & price.

I have always liked Alpine.  

Oh yea, and for some really awesome home theater speakers, look up Axiom.

Bose makes good speakers or consider Infinity. For headunit- get a Blauplunkt or a Alpine.

Eclipse is probley one of the best cd players for being able to set your different levels. they are a little costly though. If not an eclipse than im also a panasonic person!
