What brand of candles make the least amount of smoke?

I've had issues with candles that smoke alot, even with low trimmed wicks, even the expensive ones. So, I'm wondering if anyone has a suggested brand they prefer that don't create hardly any smoke?

  1. Forget mass produced "big name" candles, they start with good quailty and quickly go down hill. Find yourself a good local candle maker who hand pours. You will always know what quality to expect and you will be supporting a craftsman, not a faceless company.

  2. Soy candles

  3. You shouldn't need to burn them to get a scent.     Maybe use more of them, in smaller spaces.

  4. Try a Mia Bella.  They are made with natural vegetable waxes instead of paraffin.  Paraffin wax is a product that is made from petroleum (like crude oil) so that's why they create so much smoke and soot.

  5. I've been very happy with candles from Ikea. They don't usually drip much either. I usually buy the ones that come about 20 in a box.
