What brand of pill are you on?

Just curious, I want to start checking out some websites for different pills and I don't know the names of many.

I'm having a pregnancy scare right now and if my tests come back negative, I'm getting birth control (besides stupid condoms) for sure.

  1. yaz

  2. I'm on ortho novum now. I've been on several types of birth control including the depo shot, ortho tri-cyclin low etc. But im very happy with ortho novum. I've been on it for 5 months now and it's never made me nauseous like the others i've tried. Plus my skin has cleared up. And i dont get long or irregular mentrual cycles anymore. Yay! Plus, it's been very effective. But there are so many different types...make sure you read up on all of them and find out its side effects before making your choice :) And here's a website you could try: webmd.com Very helpful website to find which birth control is right for you.

  3. I am on Kariva.  So far I have had few problems.  It messed with my cycle a bit at first but nothing terrible.  Other than that the only thing I have to make sure to do is be more gentle down there.  Because my flows are lighter now I do not get as much moisture down there.  So during my period I just have to be sure to use the tampons with applicators and make sure I am not using to big of a tampon relative to my flow.  Without the extra moisture down there yeast infections can be quite the battle.

  4. I just stopped taking Yaz a month ago, but only because my body is really sensitive to hormones so I can't really take any of them -- but Yaz is supposed to be the lowest dose hormone out there, according to my doc.  I took Yazmin (the old version) before that and got HORRIBLE symptoms from that (pain in my b*****s, nausea, fatigue) and didn't have many at first with Yaz...but then it started making me gain weight :-/

It's a good one if your body's not too sensitive to hormones like mine...start with a lower dose like that, my doc told me lower dose pills are just as effective as the higher dose ones anyway!  (and less side effects!)

A major plus:  It definitely cleared up my skin while I was on it!!

  5. Trinessa and had severe migraines right away from it - needless to say i will never take it ever AGAIN !

needless to say this but also pills & condoms never always are 100% effective so unless you are ready for a baby accident dont have s*x yet ! sorry but true -

i have heard many horrors stories on here about that - they took pills and still got preggers

  6. i used to be on the depo injection but i gained too much weight from it ,when i came off it,  it messed my periods up big style so i chose to go on "cilest" much better...

  7. I took Yasmin for a month (but it cost about $50 dollars for a month prescription), then I switched to Ocella, which is the cheaper "sister" brand of Yasmin/the "pill", ie: they have all the same ingredients, just not name brand = cost less ($9 a month).

    Hope I helped. :D
