What brand of printer should I buy to print flyers using gloss paper?

I need to print 3000 flyers on gloss flyer paper. Which brand of laser printer should I buy. Also, flyer paper is expensive when bought at staples. Is there cheaper bulk buy of the flyer paper? Thanks!

Yowsa. 3000 on a home or small office printer? Are these going to be full-color with lots of ink, or will they be mostly text and maybe only black and one other color? If the cost of paper is an issue, bear in mind that replacing all the cartridges twice or more during the run isn't going to be cheap, either.

Talk to a medium-sized independent printer about a job like this, because you really should investigate whether this should be done digitally on an industrial color printer or run on a real offset press. Professional production machines create a much better product in terms of color and ink quality and integrity, and if gloss is very important to you we get our paper at about half the price of Staples. Depending on the final size of the flyers, it can get quite inexpensive to do these professionally; certainly it's almost never cheaper to do anything at home unless you're doing fewer than 50 or 100 prints.

Full 8.5 x 11s are your most expensive option, but if the flyers will be half- or quarter-pages, then they only need to run 1500 or even 750 full sheets and then cut them down. Looking at one of my wholesale books, I'm seeing a retail price for 3000 postcards (4x6) full color on one side for about $400.

If you decide that you want to do it yourself after all, great, but make sure you check out all your options (not at Staples).
