My favorite brand is called Always.  I'm overweight, and they make a line of pads that is specifically for women who are size 14 or over.  These pads fit more comfortably, don't rub against my upper thighs, and are the right size so that there aren't any "misses", leaving me with a tell-tale stain on a skirt or pair of slacks.  This line comes in different absorbencies and different thicknesses, which are more comfortable depending on the other clothes I wear.  And they also make them in different lengths.  I have discovered the hard way that when I sleep on my stomach on a night I'm wearing a normal-length pad, I have to wash the sheets the next day.  A longer pad prevents that.

"Towels"?  What country are you in?  Here in America, they're referred to as "napkins" or "pads."
