  1. Burton makes a good board they have been around for a long time. Atomic,Flo,Oxygen all of these are good brands. Hope it helps!

  2. if you want a really good board thats not that much of a budget breaker.. look at the ride kink. search ride snowboards on the internet and go to their website. you might also want to head over to the local snowboard shop and talk to them.tell them what kind of riding your gonna be doing and theyll get you all set up

  3. I know many people have their own personal preference on what brands to purchase, as do I. But to say this brand is a good park brand and this one is a good freeride brand really doesnt make any sense. Every company makes a wide range of boards for different styles and skill levels. It is true some companies have their characteristics, like Palmer makes their freeride boards slightly more aggressive than average, but at the same time the palmer Flash is one of the hottest jib boards out. The point i am getting at is do not worry about the brand as much. Define your riding style and skill level and go from there. For example, if you are into advanced all-mountain freestyle look at the Burton Custom, Rome Anthem, Salomon Special, Lib Tech TRS, etc. They all are similar in purpose but have different technical characteristics that define themselves, and each one is perfect for somebody out there. Another thing is you will hear is that this board breaks or the quality sucks from this brand... both Rome and Capita, two great companies, had to warranty thousands of boards earlier this year because the topsheets were falling off.  Every company will run into a quality issue somewhere down the line, but it is how they bounce back that makes them great. Dont let somebody elses brand preference sway you from choosing what is right for you.

  4. Gnu produces a board that is made out of materials that are high quality.  They are one of the best companies on the market right now.

  5. I have a Ride Snowboard. I LOVE it! They have a good selection for experts and beginners. And they all have sick art. I probably won't ever get anything else

  6. It depends what kind of riding you do - I have heard that the K2 Skyla and K2 Luna are very nice and that Roxy makes nice women's boards. I really like Ride Snowboards - they are easy to learn on and progress to better riding on.

    Freeride: Ride, K2, Roxy, Nitro

Freestyle: Rome, K2, Gnu, Lib Tech

    Good Luck

  7. I've heard excellent reviews (and experienced some firsthand) form:

Gnu, Ride, Neversummer, k2, nitro, rome

    Brands you shouldn't get:

    Burton, option, 5150, forum

  8. Nitro makes great boards. They are techically very good boards and will last a long time. I rode their lowest end board for 3 full seasons (40-60 days/nights per season) and it is still a very good board, no delamination and still rides just fine. You can't go wrong with a Nitro board.
