What brands of ferret food do they sell at wal mart?

Don't worry I don't want to buy it just very curious what my ferret ate when I got her she came with a rubbermaid container with a few pounds of food. I asked the girl wat kind it was so I could buy it again since ferrets need the same food all the time or they can get tummy upset. She said I don't know some stuff from wal mart. So I fed her what food she had left and mixed it with her new ferret food and now she eats that. It was all kibble it was shaped that looked like Y No fruit pieces. Do you think this was even ferret food or was she feeding the same cat food she fed her cat since she had one?

You should just start off with some new, fresh ferret food and nothing that has GLUTEN as a ingredient.

I agree with the first answerer, I mix different ferret foods together all the time. I am feeding Drs Foster & Smith Original, Marshalls, and Hills Prescription diet feline d/d Rabbit and Green Pea.

I believe at Walmart they sell Kaytee Fiesta and 8 in 1 Supreme, both TERRIBLE foods. Much worse than Marshalls, though you are right in saying it is bad.

Anyways, it sounds like they are on cat food, maybe IAMS, but many are that shaped. They do not sell any ferret food at walmart. Only cat food

Ferrets do not need the same food all the time- it is better to mix it up and add variety so if your food gets discontinued, you aren't stuck with a ferret that will not eat. If she is young, she will probably adjust well to a mixture of food.

Good ferret food brands, in order of my preference: Innova EVO ferret, Dr Fosters and Smith ferret store natural, Zupreem ferret, then totally ferret.

They DO sell ferret food at Wal Mart.  Its in the small animal aisle.  The brand is called 8-in-1.  It's actually not bad.  Look at the contents sometime; its basically got the perfect ratio of nutrients.

sounds more to me like some really inexpensive cat food. That probably was bought at walmart. I don't know the exact brands at walmart as far as ferret food is concerned. My ferret eats marshall's brand. It's the same brand she's always eaten since I've owned her.
