Question:

What breakfast foods can I bring on a camping trip?

Me and my friends are taking an overnight camping trip that I am hosting. All that I'm bringing (foodwise) is a cooler, ice, bunch of bottled drinks, a grill, hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, chips, corn on the cob, and stuff to make smores. I don't know what to bring for breakfast? I would bring Pop-Tarts but one of my friends are allergic to something that's in it. Does anyone know anything that I can bring for breakfast that is quick, easy, and will not spoil overnight?

  1. If your looking for super quick, how about some large hearty muffins you can buy from the bakery section in the grocery store. You could get a variety so everyone could choose.

If you have a little time, thick slices of ham heated over the fire or in a pan are good on English muffins or croissants with a slice of cheese to make a breakfast sandwich.

Good luck and happy camping!  :-)

  2. Well, oatmeal is pretty easy to make if you have a pot and a fire.  Also, there are dozens of tasty breakfast bars and meal replacement bars at your grocery store.   I'm sure you will have a cooler, you can try yogurt and granola or even regular cereal.

  3. NatureValley oat and honey bars! those are really good.

  4. You can bring cereal and either keep milk in your cooler, or use powdered milk that you mix up in the morning.

Or, you can take bagels and cream cheese.

There is also pre-cooked bacon available in the grocery store.

  5. poptarts to go!
