What breed am I describing.?

Question

This is more for fun that just serious looking for which breed is right for me. Whoever can figure out what breed I am describing or gets closest to the correct answer, gets best answer.

Here it goes.

I am looking for a dog (I have a specific breed in mind you have to guess what that breed is) that is large but not giant. I want it elegant in appearance and not chunky. It should be very reserved toward strangers and difficult to train. I want it low to medium energy inside but outside I want it to run like crazy and have a lot of fun. I want it to be a very rare breed, something that not every one has. It should have a smooth coat not very long at all. And finally I want it to be a good dog in heat as I live in the desert.

A Basenji? But they aren't large.Hmm.. a Sloughi? Or maybe an Azawakh?
