  1. he looks grey. hmm he looks like he has a little warmblood in him

  2. The "freckles" are part of a shade of grey known as fleabitten grey. It's very common and is one of the normal stages in the greying process. All grey horses are born a darker color and gradually turn to white over several years.

Congratulations on your new horse, he looks very cute... He looks a little bit to me like he could have a small amount draft horse blood in him but that's just a guess.

  3. I think he looks kind of TB x warmblood, or maybe Appendix QH (TB x QH). Very pretty! And I would call him grey, since technically, there is no "white" color in horses, they're just shades of grey. :) Maybe fleabitten grey if he had some freckles.

On the first picture, you look like you have your weight really far forward, try sitting back. I know you didn't ask for advice (I'm sorry!) but that was just glaring. When you start wanting to canter, lead changes, etc. he won't be able to lift up his front end and will therefore buck into the canter, lead change, whatever. Again, sorry, I know you didn't ask for advice, but I just don't want you to get a bucking horse!

Have fun with your pretty boy!

  4. i don't know but he's pretty

  5. He sounds like a freckled gray - rather than a dappled gray.

Breed is hard to tell... Unsure.

p.s. the bridle doesn't fit him.. at all. Neither does the bit =( (girth looks a little too tight.. but that could be because of his hair)

  6. wow, thats a cool horse, but im stumped!!! he could crossed with an arabian draft mix. or maybe even a warmblood.

i looked up horse colors to see what color he would be. if you look near his nose, you see that he has darker skin, not pink. this would make him a light grey.

  7. He's grey for sure. And could be full TB. Many TB owners often don't register the horse with Jockey Club if they feel the horse isn't race or show material. Just be proud of your little grade horse and to h**l with the rest.

BTW: Where on earth are you living that your horse has a winter coat and you get to wear long sleeves in the summer? I want to be there! It's to dang HOT in Texas

  8. He's definitely a gray.  Remember, grays get lighter as they get older.  So the older they get, the whiter they will appear.  In another 5 years, he'll probably be all white if he's this light already.  Lots of grays have freckling and are usually called "flea bitten" gray.

Like another poster said, he could be full TB, but he's got really heavy bone on his legs, which makes me think he's crossed with something stockier.  He doesn't have feathering on his legs like you usually see with a draft horse, unless it was something like a Suffolk x TB cross.  My guess would be full TB, QH x TB, or Warmblood x TB.  NOT arab....he would be way smaller if that was crossed in there!

He's cute, have fun with him!

  9. I answered this same question a minute ago xD I think he is a TB/Percheron. I put pictures on my other answer, and he looks very simular. ^^
