What breed do you like?

I like budgies because they are great pets, inexpensive, easy to care for, and very affectionate (especially if kept alone or just as one pair). Conures are also wonderful. They are more expensive, but they enjoy being petted more than budgies and are also generally more intelligent.

When you say breed do you like, if you mean what i like, then it would be a Goliath Black Palm Cockatoo,but if you mean breed that is recommended I would say cockatiels.

I always wanted a bird but they are a long term HUGE responsibility and I'm not ready yet. However before I knew that I did a lot of research. My two favorites are the cockatoo and the African Grey. Both are extremely intelligent, their differences lie in behavior. Cockatoo's tend to be affectionate towards the whole family and even strangers at times. African Grey's are sometimes only fond of their primary care givers and hostile towards others. Consequently cockatoo's tend to be a little more needy then the African Grey . Do some research on the breeds it's really the only way to find out for sure what breed will suit you.

An inexpensive, smart, fun bird... Quaker Parrot! My quaker talks, does tricks, is sweet and loving, and very intelligent... and he's not even a year old! I also love the small, manageable size. It's like a big parrot in a little parrot's body. They range in price from $100-300... a pretty good deal.

In the future I would love to have an African Grey or a Hycacinth Macaw.
