What breed does this horse look like? ?

Question

This horse is a registered stock paint, quarter horse. So why would he look as if he has other in him. I don't think he is fully stock paint QH. He does not look it, act it, or ride it at all. I believe his bloodlines were messed up some where. what do you think he looks like??? sorry the pictures are hard to judge from. i don't have many good ones of him.

He looks like he may be a thoroughbred or even an Arabian cross hopes this help but remember he might be a stock paint quarter because even though its a certain breed their all different!

Its very hard to tell with your pictures, but I did look at them.  Is he gaited at all?  That might help determine breeding.

He is defiantly part Quarter Horse! You can see it in his face.

He maybe what you call Appendix Quarter Horse mixed with a Paint.

Appendix Quarter Horse is actually a Thoroughbred x Quarter Horse.therefore the reason he is not as stocky as normal quarter horse.

Also alot paints are crossed with a thoroughbred.Remember thoroughbred's had Arabians early in their breeding

Did you see the Australia Stock horse ridden by Sonja Johnson, called Ringwould Jaguar in the Olympic's? It actually also part Quarter Horse, Australian Stock Horse and Thoroughbred, yet its registered as Australian Stock Horse

wow, you're right! that horse sure does not look like a QH especially not breeding stock!! nothing about that seems like a breeding stock paint. I would think a dapple grey TB, whoever you bought him from could have been lying about his papers?

that looks like it could be a dappled grey and where did you guys even get paint from! he looks nothing like a paint!

though he does look like an Appaloosa kinda. a horse at our barn named Jacket looks like that kinda, and he's an Appaloosa.

with the paint horses there isn't any real characteristics except there paint coat if they are a paint or not.

to me he looks like a thorough bred. but i can see a bit of stock horse but no QH in him at all. he isnt stocky enough.

im not saying ur lying but honestly if u didnt tell me his breed i would of thought thorough bred.

Uh that's sure as h**l not paint anything. It's a dapple grey. How is paint?

He's likely an Appendix, I can see some QH in him, especially his face. A lot of Paints have TB line in them too, so that might be where he gets it. I have a QH who looks nothing like a QH, he looks like a warmblood, but I am 110% sure of his breeding, both his parents are short stocky QH's, so sometimes its just weird.

Looks QH, Arab, & thoroughbed.  I'd never place it as registered stock paint with all that dappling.

Looks like a racing stock Quarter horse like the one I rescued from the Denoyer case in Mendocino.

What IDIOT would breed a 'color' horse to a grey?  Moment of insanity?    Or just thinks it's kewl?  (candidate for FHoTD blog)

As lightly built as he is, I'm thinking confusion in the breeding shed.

That is a dapple grey not a paint..

It is very hard to tell but it might be totally wrong but it looks like he has a little but of Arab in him that might explain it.
