Hi I have bought a parrot.

Owner told me it was a indian.

I have looked on net and it does not look like any I have seen.

Its red head, white beak, yellow tummy and blue wings.

Very noisy which is great.

  1. defiantly not an indian.sounds like a pretty bird. i have never heard of a bird looking just like that. it is probably some cross breed or some that isn't worth much and he just wanted to sell so he called it an indian and put a good price on it or mabe its a super rare and super expensive bird and that's why we've never heard of it and the guy  doesn't know what he's talking about and you got a really good deal.lol. it would help if you put the size though. i really don't know, but try looking at these birds and if they look anything the same but not adzactly then look up different types of that type of bird. its probably not one of these birds, but it may me a cross breed and it may be part of one of these.your best bet is with the first bird though. hope i helped! =D

  2. By your brief description.I would say that your bird is a Golden Mantled Rosella(Platycercus eximiu cecilae) or a X.

These are originally from th Australia and not India.

It is not a Parrot, but a type of  Larger Parakeet.

Also by your description I would say that it is older than 5,months and in full colour.

Yes they can be very noisy but still make good pets.

Check again on the net and see if I am right or near to your description.

  3. could be an indian ring neck but them birds have red beaks, without a picture we can't tell you anything for sure.
