What breed is this dog that is lurking around my house?

my dog is in heat and there are a few of the neighbors' dogs lurking around. my curiosity is getting the best of me and i have to know what this one breed is. it has a snout like a pug, but has shitsu type hair.

a picture would help... sounds like japense chin or semthing.. go to the bookstores and look at pics.. .that might help.,..

To me it sounds like a Shih Tzu or lhasa apso

I cant answer without seeing it. but you can google dog breads or go to a library or book store and look through the dog encyclopedia and try seeing if you can match the dog. if its a pure breed you should have no probs but if its a cross it will be tough. GL

Maybe a Lhasa Apso or Shih Tzu or Pekingese? Or it could happen to be a mix.

Do these pics from the links provided look anything like the dog you are describing? Each link has different pics of the breed. Maybe you 'll be able to try to figure it out from them.

Make sure to keep an eye on your dog at all times. You do not want an unplanned litter of pups.

Sounds like a peke to me or a Pekingese mix...Why haven't you spayed your dog..You can avoid all this and she'll have a longer, healthier life.. :-)

Hard to tell without pictures, it could be a boston terrier mix or it could be a pekinese.
