What breed of bird would be the best for me?

If your just looking for a bird, a little friend to play with sometimes and don't have that much time or money to spend on it you could get a budgie or a cockatiel as they're easy to look after and don't need constant brain stimulation and attention. That's not to say you should buy a bird if you don't plan on paying it attention everyday.

If you are searching for a more intelligent companion who will talk, learn tricks and become nothing short of your own child you could invest in a parrot. I personally love conures but lorikeets, alexandrines and many others are all great companions. Conures are my favourite type of bird as they're very smart and will give you all of their heart if treated well. These birds needs lots of attention, a varied diet, different toys monthly to keeps their minds stimulated and are quite pricey to start off with. But in my opinion, as a bird lover, they are definitely worth it :)
