I know I asked this before, but here is a better picture. And i took a look at his eyes. They are greyish/blueish. He has a brown tail.

  18. Its a calico and a female. All calicos ae females. Read up  on it.

Calico cats, with their orange, black and white coloration, are almost always female. So are black and orange tortoiseshells. Why?

The answer has to do with genetics. Every cat has 38 pairs of chromosomes; half of the pairs are from the mother, the other half is from the father. Within every chromosome there are thousands of different genes.

Every female cat receives one X chromosome from her mother and one X chromosome from her father, while a male receives one X chromosome from his mother and one Y chromosome from his father. Within the X chromosome is a gene for coat color.

In calicos and tortoiseshells, one X has the black gene; the other X has the orange gene. White coat color is associated with a completely separate gene.

At conception, the kitten is a one-celled organism, which divides until there are millions of cells that make up the final kitten.

  19. My mother bred registered Siamese during my growing up years.  It indeed appears to be a mix with heavy Siamese traits which are called "points".

I believe it is a Siamese mix because of the dark points on its ears and the blueish grey eyes which are only a dominant trait in the Siamese breed.  I would guess that the mother was a Seal Point Siamese which have the darker points of all the variaties of Siamese.  But regardless, it appears to be a beautiful and unusual cat that would be striking to look at!

How sad that he was treated that way!   What a fortunate cat to be able to be rescued by you and to hopefully have a chance to learn that there are compassionate and loving humans in his world that will help him!  You will be blessed for your kindness and love to an otherwise helpless creature!

  20. I am pretty sure it is a siamese cat.  I looked on google and searched image results for siamese cats, and compared them to the picture of the cat you had.  They look alot alike.  So if you ask me I would say it is a siamese cat.

  21. Siamese mix...but who knows he's just plain beautiful...he's lucky to be found.  If you can't keep him make sure he goes to a good home.

  22. Siamese mix.  I wouldn't say calico because I don't see orange.  Plus, you said it was a male.  Very rare for a calico to be a male.

That's sad he was dumped in the garbage.  He looks pretty happy and content now though. :)

  23. domestic short hair, a mutt.

looks like some seal point Siamese markings, the brown on the head.

yes, sadly, i can believe he was dumped in the garbage, people have done worse.

he sure is happy now, as long as you dont move your leg.

  24. Looks like a mixed breed with part Siamese.  I say that because the cat has the ear markings of a Siamese.

And I think it is deplorable that some people are so cruel to defenseless animals.

How wonderful of you to take in the sweet kitty.  You are the angel on that kitty's shoulders.  Bravo!!!

  25. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... he sooooo cute

i would a some type of siameese mix my neighbor has a catlike that

SHAME ON THOSE PPLE WHO THREW IT IN THE GARBAGE

  26. You got yourself a Ragdoll! They have very beautiful markings and no two are alike. Here is a picture of a book cover that shows that. http://www.a2zcats.com/books/breeds/ragd...

  27. I have 3 rag doll kitties, it sure looks as if he is part rag doll or Burmese mixed with some other mix. SOOO NICE OF YOU TO TAKE care of him. HE IS SOOO CUTE!!!

  28. calico is a coloration not a BREED like a siamese cat.

it looks like he's a siamese, snowshoe or himalayan mix with the markings you've described, along with the blue eyes.  the latter 2 breeds are mostly longhaired, but if it's a mutt, you never know.  :)  it sounds like he's 'pointed' like one of those breeds .. good for you for taking the little guy in.  :D

  29. I honestly would say a Calico mixed with a Siamese cat. Siamese have brown tails sometimes. You can do a DNA TEST. Search it in google and you'll find something. Good luck and I am stunned you found the poor baby in the trash can. :(

  30. OMG! poor kitty! ;-( are you gonna keep him? you should- he/she is adorable! my aunt has a cat kinda like him- his name is cookie dough and he was the only one of his litter that color and the mom wasnt like that at all and we didnt know who the dad was. they kinda look siamese dont they? well he might be part siamese but not for sure if it is pure breed siamese try asking the vet! i hope this helped and i hope the kitty finds a loving owner and a great home! best of luck adorable kitty! ^. .^     <------- thats a kittys head! lol!

  31. Defiantly part siamese, maybe minx, but that's questionable. I would say siamese, short hair mix.
