What breed of dog is your driver?

i know, sounds like a dumb@$$ question, but i ask because humpy wheeler used four dogs today to illustrate his logic in choosing carl edwards as his pick to win the all-star race:

the four dogs:

a greyhound, wearing the No. 48 for jimmie johnson. "Speedy and calculating," Wheeler said.

a doberman pinscher, wearing the No. 18 of bad boy kyle busch. "Energetic and fierce, but fearless more than anything," Wheeler added.

humpy's dark horse pick -- an american pit bull terrier wearing the No. 20 of driver tony stewart.

and finally, a fox terrier named "princess" for edwards, who did a couple of backflips for the fans. (carl was contacted and his main comment had to do with the dog's name).

silly, i know... but still, what kind of dog (or other animal) would you use for your favorite driver?

I'd have to go with an English Bulldog for Dale Jr. They are loyal, fierce and intimidating. Go 88!!

This is not a dumb question at all. It beats the hades out of all the Busch/Jr bashing and hating that's been going on in here.

My favorite driver is Kurt Busch and I liken him to a Beagle. Always has his nose down to the ground(sniffing out the enemy) hunting and howling all the time. I ought to know I own a Beagle.

I'd say Labrador for Dale Jr, lovable, playful, smart and what the heck the Lab is the most popular breed of dog in America and he is the most popular driver they just seem to go together.. I would say the Shrub is more of a Pit Bull than Tony Stewart..

tony be a poodle.

because he is smart and can race the wheels off of anything. also he a ankel bitter. tony thrives on drama. that what makes him race so well. not to mention his loyalty to JGR. he's caring like a poodle and his attention spain is like a poodle too.

I echo Superdave's sentiments - this is a great question.  You've got to love Humpy; just when you think he can't possibly top himself, he does.

Can't agree with the pit bull comparison, though.  Tony looks and acts more like a Chow to me.

I don't know what breed my favorite driver, Terry Labonte, is like, though.  Something laid back and steady.
