well depends what size dog you want.

if you want a bigger one, then i'd definitely go for a golden retriever. they're gorgeous and extremely well behaved.

You should do plenty of research on the different breeds of dogs and all of their needs and pros and cons.  This would be the best way for you to choose the best breed for you.

I strongly recommend getting a German shepherd! I have one and she is the greatest dog. They are very loyal and easy to train because they are so smart! The GSD is a very social dog - if you socialize them properly as puppies. I think a German shepherd would be a great asset to any family! Good luck in your search!

I really like pugs but you should just go to your shelter and if you see one you fall in love with get him! DO not buy a dog from the pet store you will be giving the puppy mills more money buy one from the shelter and buy a dog that needs a home! But just look and see which one you fall in love with!

don't worry about the breed. Go to the pound and pick one that needs a good home and fits your lifestyle and has a good personality. They cost around 75 bucks but after they are taken to the vet and spayed/neutered you can return to the pound with the papers and they will refund the 75 bucks.

The first thing to ask yourself is what size of dog do you want and where will it live and how much grooming are you willing to do?.

Is this your first dog?, or are you an experienced dog owner.!

Do you live in a flat or a house and will there be young children around

Can you afford to care for and feed the dog?
