What breed of goat is the largest??And what breed is the largest that still has a decent milk production?

Im looking for a large goat that can clear alot of brush and still give me decent milk. I live in MO so i also need to know where i can get some.

All goat breeds are good brush cleaners, but you will get better milk production from a dairy breed.  Any of the standard sized dairy breeds would probably suit your needs.  Once you decide on a breed, try googling it (for example google:  Nubians for sale in Missouri) and you should be able to find some breeders in your area.

I raise Nubians, and they tend to be more "dairy", which means the does are very feminine looking and not what I consider a "big" goat - more of a mid-sized dairy goat.  Saanens are definitely a stockier animal - I've seen some that are really solid.

I'm really happy with the milk production from my herd, but I know a local Saanen breeder who beats me (and the other Nubian owners) hands down at show.  She's got a whole herd of finished does and grand champions and her milk production is through the roof.

Any goat is going to happily clear brush for you, and you'll be surprised at their efficiency, but if you're looking for milk production as well, keep in mind that you're going to need to breed your doe(s) every fall and deal with kids in spring.  You might want to consider one milker and one wether for a companion, as wethers grow much bigger than does.  A mature buck can hit 300 pounds, where most of our does weigh around 150.

Get a Nubian... it is probably the largest milk producer of the dairy goats.

I raised Toggenburgs and I had one that got 8th highest milk production in NYS fair in the 90's, but the Nubians always beat me!

Alpines and Togg's probably follow 2nd to Nubians
