  1. i've had a few types of hamsters and the easiest for me to tame was my russian winter white dwarf hamster, they are really cute, friendly and they're quite fast, roboski dwarf hamsters are cute, most don't bite much, but they are really fast and hard to handle, i nearly lost mine loads of times.

so i'd recommend a dwarf Russian winter white!

  2. try a chinese hamster, i had two before and never got bitten, they're adorable, easy to care for, and very friendly.

  3. NO Robo!

    Dworaf ok

    Teddy ok

    May I suggest a guinea pig?They don't really bite.

  4. tHE FRIENDLIEST WOULD BE A LARGE SYRIAN. In my opinion you'd be better of with a mouse

  5. i think you should get a winter white dwarf hamster. they are small and fast because they are dwarfs, they are cute because their coats change colors and i think they are tame, it really depends on the hamster you get, they have all different temperments.

  6. Either a teddy bear hamster or a Syrian.  Not small hamsters, sometimes they can get aggressive... like no dwarf hamsters.  But don't expect any hamster to be tame or not nip at first.  They may nip until they are comfortable with you, and until they no longer sense that you are afraid of them biting/nipping you.

Right now I have 2 teddy bear hamsters, and they are very cuddly, they love being picked-up and held.  Just make sure your hands don't smell like food! :)  Then they like biting you because they think it's food- they can't see very well.

    Good luck,

    Arah

  7. I've had Russian Dwarfs all my life and I love them. Any hamster can be taught to be tame, it's just a matter of if you take them out on a daily basis.

I've had Syrians before, and oh my gosh.. hated them. They bit me even though I did my best with them. All my Russians were just fine after a week or so, but the Syrians.. oh my. HATED them.

Russians are so cute, in my opinion. I love the Winter Whites and the Charcoals, but silverbacks are cute too, and so are the normals. They're pretty cheap, too.

  8. I've had so many different rodents and i would have to say a hamster was the worst out of all of them.My advice is to get a rat their clean, smart, entertaning, some what small and they never bite(unless you hurt them).

  9. i would suggest a syrian....they are the easiest to tame!!! but if u want a small one get a dwarf hamster...whatever you do DON'T GET A ROBO. they're very cute, yes, but u can never pet them, they bite a lot, and are very fast!!!!!

  10. well you should get a "roborovski" hamster they are small, fast and cute...but they might be hard to tame..if you do get one and its not tame..be patient, but if they do get tamed make sure you keep playing with them, or else they mightnot stay tamed.

    hope this helps:)

  11. The qualities that you are looking for in a hamster are contradictory. The smaller and faster (and cuter, which is subjective) they are, the less tame they are. Robo hamsters, for example are very small and very fast but they do not like being held (there are a few exceptions, of course). If you want a hamster that will allow you to handle it on a daily basis you should get a Golden or a Teddy Bear (they may bite or nip at first, but with patience and good care, they will stop after just a little while with you).
