  1. Boomerang: KY Mountain Saddle horse gelding, dapple grey turned almost white, 13 years old, trail/show horse (my step-daughter shows him at county fairs), bombproof, been-ther-done-that kind of horse

Moon Man: American Gaited pony gelding, could be registered Spotted Saddle horse and blue-eyed horse, white in color with one blue eye, 11 years old, trail/endurance horse, spunky smooth mover who loves to go!  Not a kid's pony as commonly thought by others

Star's Silver Spur: Ky Mountain Saddle horse gelding, blue roan with chrome, 3 years old born on our farm, trail/show horse, great mover with excellent form, still spunky, but controlled....sweet and passive

Zip:  Registered TWH could be registered Ky Mountain Saddle horse gelding, chocolate roan, 3 years old, trail/show, excellent gait and head-set, unusual color gets him lots of looks, very talented and athletic and calm

Snow Rabbit: Spotted Saddle horse mare, 3 years old and in foal to Star's Silver Spur (before he was cut), she is just a brood mare right now, though she has been started under saddle.  She is a blue roan and white spotted medicine hat with dark rims around her eye which gives her a very dramatic look.

Max: gaited mule, 2 years old and already 15.2 hands tall (approximately), just started under saddle but hoping to make him a trail horse...or sell him

We have 2 horses on our little farm that we are working with for some friends.  One is for sale and the other just needs some miles put on her.

Daisy Fields - 12 year old, Thoroughbred, Mare. Chestnut, four white stockings, flaxen mane and tail, star.  I competed with her in show jumping, 1.4m.  She wouldn't blink an eye and she would jump anything, she never knocked either.  She was my top horse for 6 years, but unfortunately broke her leg last year and had to be put down.

  13. Falco, Irish Draft x TB. He's about 15 and was used as a stud for several years before being gelded and trained. He's a bit stroppy and impatient but he's also quite affectionate when you know him. I ride English and we mainly hack out with a few jumps along the way.

Harvey is a Clyde x ( I think with TB) he's a little younger than Fally, he was supposed to be an event horse but an accident led to a steel plate and a big insurance claim. Once he was recovered from that he went on to be a riding school horse and that was where I got him from. He is a big wuss and a real scaredy cat about a lot of things, he doesn't like to lead the way, possibly because he's a bit institutionalized from being in the school, he is improving though. He's very strong and very fast and loves too jump ( shame I don't have an arena) again I ride him English and hack and jump a little.

  17. Clothes.

  18. You are siting in front of a computer way too long:  Here's what you get when you're an old lady like me:

One 27 year old Morgan - I heck of a peach of a horse - best friend ever.  We got anywhere on the trails together and he has as much fun as I do.

One 25 year old Appendix Quarter Horse (some Thoroughbred, some quarter horse) - can't ride him anymore, he has had EPM which has left nerve disorders.  Just a good ol' buddy.

One 21 year old Thoroughbred mare who raced in her younger years at Atlanta, Tampa and Hialeah - great bloodlines, only used as a broodmare - she's the mother of:

One 7 year old Paint Bred mare - big, bay loveable girl - currently having issues with confidence - she's at the trainer now - he'll hopefully build her confidence then work with us together - when afraid, she bucks or bolts.

One 5 year old Paint mare (full sister to 7 year old above) - very dominant - both these are currently trail horses but maybe someday we'll get into Ranch Horse competition, Mounted shooting or something or other.

One yearling Appendix QH filly - buckskin.  Very affectionate - will have high dominance also.

The 7, 5 and yearling are all very curious - they'll take your hat, they'll take your tools if working in the pasture, they'll follow you around rather than do something "horsey" if you're near them.

Each one has it's own "horsenality" and I learn so much from them every day.  I couldn't live without them, I'm sure I'd have to if I was forced due to injury or something like that, but life wouldn't be much fun without them.

You keep going and stay involved with them - they'll teach you so much about life if you'll listen to them and apply what they teach you to your life and interaction with people.  You meet better boys with horses too - if a boy is successfully involved with horses, they're likely better quality than those who are not.  But keep your horses first as long as you can.  Boys are hard to understand, horses are MUCH easier to deal with than boys.  When you do get to liking boys - still keep your horses first - they're always there to listen to you, they won't get mad at you, they'll always forgive you and never judge you and they're always there when we need some relaxing time not needing anything other than food and water.  If I didn't have my horses growing up, I'd probably have been in a lot of trouble.  When something had me worried or mad or anything, I could get on the horse, focus on it, or go out and talk through my problems to him and things would get better.  You're a good girl to be so involved with the horses.
