  1. ones with a leg on each corner

  2. because Rome and Greece had mixes of spanish in them, most likely the Andalusians.

  3. The Romans apparently kept a record of the names and breeds of horses that were used in chariot races. This indicates that they would have several breeds from around their Empire.

Maybe they were the ancestors of the later Arab/Barb and Akhal-Teke who stood between 13 and 15 hands and weighed 800 to 1000 pounds. One alone could only carry a lightly armed rider, but two or more could be used in a chariot.

  4. Very, very heavy  Horses....it is a mute point..what we know

as 'Plough Horses' will certainly be the ones used...However

Peugon, (very short legged and stumpy) or the great  Shire

    ......   I have my suspisions....but, ??????????

my Money is on my lad..Johnboy, he 26  and still doing

    Gymkana wiv kids !!!   ...

  5. Mi Littlum Ponyum.

The pink ones were no where near as quick as those pale aqua ones.

  6. As they were bet upon regularly probably the same 3 legged worn out nags that i seem to pick in the bookies. lol.

  7. Arabs. They were the originals and back then we hadn't got to far involved into the whole breeding stock designed specifically for our purposes thing

  8. Most likely an ancestor of a quarter horse or a thoroughbred.
