What bright object was visible in the night sky over Nerja, Spain last week?

It seemed to travel very slowly in the sky and was visible for most of the time that I was watching. It was in the southeast of the sky and was very bright. It looked to have a projection at either end when you looked at it through binoculars. Can anyone tell me what it was?

  1. You may have been looking at the International Space Station.  Yes, it is very bright, moves across the sky faster than the stars but slower than a meteor, and will look extended in a small scope or binoculars.

  2. It was most likely the ISS, due to the projections at the ends.

But, it could also have been Jupiter, if it was rather high in the sky, and was the brightest "star"
