  1. Sweeney Todd was amazing. (The movie was ****, do NOT judge the play based on that c**p.)

So was the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee; that one was also hands on, so that was cool.

Spamalot was great for anyone who hasn't worn out all the Monty Python jokes from the movies and skits.

  2. Watch Wicked again! *cackles*

I've seen it three times, you pick up on something else each time.

But beyond Wicked, I'd say The Producers and Spamalot.

  3. Chicago - I can't get enough of those songs!

  4. Legally Blonde The Musical

  5. Well it depends:

If you like Disney/kids type things that are still very good I would say: Little Mermaid or Mary Poppins (I saw Mary Poppins and it was fabulous!)

If you are more into musicals that have been popular movies try: Sweeney Todd, Chicago, Legally Blonde, Phantom of The Opera, Rent (not sure if this is gone yet)

If you are more into revivals try: Chorus Line, South Pacific

    Good luck and have fun!!

  6. See as many as you can afford.  My favorite will not be yours.

Find out what is on where and when plus the cost of a decent seat.

  7. The Producers !!! It's amazing.

  8. if i were you(and going to see a show before september 7th) go w/ rent because it is going off of broadway on september 7th and i heard it is spectacular. if you are seeing another show after that date then i suggest a chorus line or south pacific. but any show you chose is sure to be good.

  9. Just about anything you chose will be worth the trip.

Any of the Disney productions are fantastic especially "The Lion King"

If you enjoy the music of the Four Seasons you shouldn't miss "Jersey Boys"

Or if you prefer The disco music of ABBA you can see "Mamma Mia"

But, If you have never seen  "The Phantom of the Opera" on broadway, that would be my pick as the one you should see.

  10. Phantom of the Opera.

  11. It really depends on what you want to see. I was in New York City this week and saw 7 VERY different shows.

In order of favorites (that I saw this past week):

-Gypsy (Patti LuPone is amazing- but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone under the age of 16 because one of the characters does become a stripper)

    - August: Osage County (Wouldn't suggest to anyone under 16 again because of what topics it covers. Drugs, alcohol, suicide, and foul language)

    - The Little Mermaid (I've seen all the Disney productions currently on Broadway and this is by far my favorite. It's really cute and the way the mermaids "swim" is cute and really creative. The cast is awesome and couldn't be better)

    - Legally Blonde : The Musical (Really great for all ages. It has really upbeat music and the current cast is really amazing. )

    - The Phantom of the Opera (A classic, and Howard McGillian is so awesome as the Phantom)

    - [title of show] (a show about people making a Broadway show. It's really funny, but does swear a lot - I think the f word is said around 10 times during the show.. You do have to know about theater to get a lot of the jokes, though)

    - Spamalot (It was really good, but I got bored during the first act and a few various times during the second act. I wouldn't suggest seeing it unless you really are bored or really want to.)

Hopefully that helped a little and enjoy whatever Broadway show you end up seeing!

  12. Jersey Boys is soooooo good!
